A 15 ton biomass-fired reciprocating grate steam boiler has been successfully commissioned at a paper mill in Bangladesh.
2025, Yuanda Boiler installed a complete biomass reciprocating grate boiler with 15 ton steam per hour (TPH) at this facility. Fueled with raw timber, tree branches, log, and wood waste, this boiler provides a highly efficient and stable steam for the drying cylinders and pulp processing machinery. It not only helps paper plant reduce fuel costs and fully utilize agricultural/forestry waste, but also eliminates dependence on volatile oil and gas markets.
After calculating actual operating data (based on local fuel prices), the client discovered that the fuel cost for a biomass boiler is only half that of a natural gas boiler.
Following the outstanding performance of the first water-tube biomass boiler, client opted to purchase a second 15-ton steam boiler earlier this year—matching the original configuration—which is now fully operational.
